Beginners Drawing and Painting – April/May

This course is designed to introduce beginners to the fundamental principles and techniques of drawing and painting. Through a series of structured lessons and hands-on activities, students will develop basic skills in observational drawing, composition, color theory, and paint application.

The course will cover drawing basics, and how to use different mediums such as pastels, oils and acrylics, learning the techniques needed for each. Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on fostering creativity, experimentation, and personal expression.

By the end of the course, students will have gained a solid foundation in drawing and painting, allowing them to pursue further art course or simply enjoy the process of creating art independently. No prior experience in drawing or painting is required, making this course suitable for absolute beginners eager to explore their artistic potential.

Starts Monday April 8th – May 13th (6 weeks) from 7.15-9.15pm with Artist Ciara Dorgan

Age range: 18 years and over.

All materials are included.
